Delayed Start to New Season...

NW Colts League Update.
As many of you will have seen, the RFU has delayed the start of the new community rugby season to 21 September due to hard, dry pitches and player‑welfare concerns.
Lancashire CB and Cheshire CB have both confirmed the same guidance for the MOTIQ NW Colts League.
This means the first three prelim fixtures can’t be played as scheduled. We’ll now have one prelim game on 27 September, followed by the Cup window, then into Conference leagues.
In the meantime, we’re encouraging clubs to use their original prelim' dates for non‑contact “friendly” sessions - perhaps T1 Rugby.
These are great for coaching, skills, and pre‑season fitness, and they help keep Players engaged. If ground conditions improve, contact may be allowed.
Keeping activity going will also help Clubs reduce the financial impact of the delayed start.
Thanks for your flexibility, co-operation with each other, and continued support.
Player welfare remains our priority, and we’ll share updates as soon as guidance changes.
Regards in Colts Rugby.
