Hi Graeme.

I refereed the Heaton Moor v Stockport Junior A prelim game today.

What was absolutely fantastic is the obvious effort the Coaches put into setting examples to their Players. As such, both teams were exemplary throughout.

Coaches stayed in technical areas, those running touch for me didn’t make any comment at all about “forward”, “knock on”, “what about…”. In fact, any time there was a dubious decision or one that went against their teams they actually praised and said I was spot on.

If any teams need lessons in rugby values, these two set the bar !!

A great afternoon of rugby and is what colts should be about...

Thank you to the League for pressing home this message for the last few years - I think it’s sinking in…
