Notes from the 1st Two Weekends...

Dear Colts Team Manager / Coach...

Two weeks in and feedback from the Colts League is very positive.

Just about enough Referees, or so it seems, and in some cases just enough players to make a game of it.

Thanks to our Referee Socities for their continued support, and to the Team Managers & Coaches for all their efforts on behalf of the Lads.

In the main the season has kicked-off well with some highly competitive games of Colts League Rugby...

Welcome Back !!

Admin Wise...
Team Managers almost achieved 100% success in submitting their Results Texts on time, albeit some were only just in before 6pm - Thanx...

In turn your League Secretaries had all the Results posted to GMS and the Tables updated by 7.30pm Sunday - well done guys.

Match Cards...
..however were a little less successful - with a few even arriving after the 6pm Monday deadline...

..and some Match Cards have been totally illegible. Please check what you're sending in - If you can't read it then neither can we !!

Please also remember to send your Match Cards by eMail to:
results21@colts-rugby.org.uk and not to your LeagueSec.

You should also identify the Match in the Subject line of your eMail.

The Match Card Guidelines will help you...

RFU I/D Cards...
Managers are reminded the RFU Regulations require Photo's on I/D Cards to be updated at Under 17.

If your players still have a photo from their U10 to U16 years this really isn't suitable. Enough people have digital cameras on their smartphones.
Please update your old Player I/D Cards within the next 7 days.

Checking I/D Cards...
It is not up to your Referee to check Cards - it is down to Team Managers.

RFU I/D cards should be checked at least 30 minutes before kick-off in line with the RFU Guidelines.

Managers should have RFU I/D Cards available for every player they intend to field and are encouraged to advise their League Secretary of any teams without such cards, which is not acceptable.

A Zero-Tolerance policy is now being adopted and sanctions will be applied.

Overall...
Not bad really for the first two weeks. Unfortunately admin paperwork is a necessary evil, but bear in mind it helps keep us all informed and protects the innocent - plus Your Lads appreciate your efforts.

Happy New Season...

Regards in Colts Rugby.
