Subject: Mark Walsh - Match Referee

Not one to normally comment on referees, but I have to say a big thanks to Mark Walsh, who refereed our game against Burnley on Sunday.

The game was played in wet, muddy conditions, making it forward dominated, with all the consequences of difficult decisions having to be made in the tackle and breakdown areas.

Mark refereed the game, sympathetic to the conditions, allowing it to flow as much as possible, and with a good sense of humour. This lead to a cracking, hard fought game, with respect shown between players and to the referee.

I'm sure that Mark enjoyed the game as much as the players, parents and coaches from both sides.

Regards.

Editors Note:
Our thanks to Paul for taking the time to convey his complimentary thoughts, and congratulations to the Ormskirk and Burnley Colts sides for giving Paul & Mark such a pleasurable experience.

Regards in Colts Rugby.
